It all began in 1996 at the Milan Fair. The master craftsmanship of the Niccolai family received official recognition in 2001 with the "Italia che Lavora" award. A year later, Teknoart S.R.L. was founded, launching the first traveling exhibitions across Tuscany.
This journey culminated between 2004 and 2005 with the creation of the Italian Art Association in Brasília and the inauguration of the Leonardo da Vinci Museum in Florence, hosted in the historic Caffè Michelangiolo with over 50 machines on display.

Thanks to collaborations with experts like Luigi Rizzo and Paolo Gori, the machines crossed oceans to reach Australia, New Zealand, and South America. In 2006, the Auckland exhibition caught the eye of Walt Disney, serving as a partial set for the film "Bridge to Terabithia".
The year 2009 marked another turning point: the debut of "Anatomy and Robots" across Melbourne, Sydney, and Seoul, unveiling Da Vinci's 15th-century "working robots" to the world for the very first time.
